It is evident in this book that he fell in love with Ana from the first meeting but didn't realize it. The book clearly explains why so many women are being Crazy for Christian Grey's character because he is one such Man.
Worth buying!! Okay, so it arrived today. There is some minute small damag to the front of the cover but all in all the book is good and the quality is nice. Though I didn't get a book marker with the book, I received a book marker for every book I ordered on Amazon so I wondered why not for this one?
Ol in ol it's a wonderful addition to my fifty shades of fuckdedupness collection. This book is fantastic leaving me with wanting more of Christian Grey's view of 50 Shades. I would love to read the other 2 books from Christians perspective for I thoroughly believe it will make for a very entertaining read.
Once again another great book in this collection I had to struggle putting down especially when reading those salacious moments between Christian and Anastasia One person found this helpful.
I watched the movie and then read the book. Loved them both. I am tired of stories about star crossed lovers, this one is refreshing in that way. Story and depiction somehow lifts my mood.
I know I will read this book again. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. Well, first of all I enjoyed it, the male perspective was far more erotic amd James writing style has improved dramatically since the trilogy. However I was shocked and disappointed at the sudden ending with many of the aspects in the story line just left hanging. I was taught that if you mention a gun in the first act it has to be used by act three. The book leaves Leila still at large and no reunion of Ana and Christian , just the fact that he is going to take her to the Art exhibition.
Having read the trilogy I know what happened to Leila but some people only managed the first book in the Trilogy and some have come to Grey first. I Would have liked to have read the Leila scene when she does turn up from Grey's perspective. In fact the loose endings and half written parts in Grey do lend themselves to s sequel.
I was also taught that endings are as important, sometimes more important than the whole story put together- so often authors of more than one book seek to suddenly run out of time from the publisher or ideas and don't end well. I was most disappointed at the abrupt end. I was actually in two minds whether to read this book, I was excited to hear Christian's side of the story but on the other hand I was worried his POV would ruin one of my favourite books ever. However I did decide to give it a go. It took me a good few chapters to get into the book, it didn't really hook me until around chapter 3 and then I couldn't put it down, hearing Christian's take on events became addictive and I found my self falling in love with him all over again.
I think everyone knows the story of Ana and Christian, so a recap is unnecessary but it's the small details that left me breathless, like Christian's reaction to a 'x' in an email from Ana endeared me to this complicated man and his struggle to give Ana 'more' was insightful.
We finally get to understand a little about his relationship with ' Mrs Robinson' and his ex sub Leila which I really enjoyed and how Christian was able to successfully stalk Ana! I very rarely reread books, so I was worried that this retelling would not hold my attention but it held it and captured it fully. I enjoyed reliving this groundbreaking book but from the other side, I laughed, I almost cried and I fell in love with an incredible love story all over again - just perfect.
My favourite part of the FSOG series was the Christian viewpoint chapter at the end of the third book where he encounters Ana for the first time: her viewpoint tended to be immature, repetitive, irritating and more than a little pathetic sometimes.
I was really excited when Grey was published and downloaded it the same day. Talk about an anti-climax! I've never felt so disappointed in a book or it's writer in my entire life. I ended up skipping all of the bits which were an almost exact reproduction of FSOG I can't blame EL James for cashing in, however, I think she's made a mistake in creating such a lazy, badly written and frankly boring book.
Hopefully, if she decides to rehash the remaining two books into Christian's perspective, she'll actually use her imagination for a change and come up with something worth buying. Well what can you say, think she was dammed if she did and dammed if she didn't, I generally enjoyed the book, didn't expect too much when I was reading it so because of this I enjoyed it. I have read reviews of people saying it was the same story just Edited on Christian's bits however I think if she had changed it too much she would have been slated for it too.
I liked looking at the book from his perspective and feel she could have explored his feelings a bit more but overall I will look forward to the 2nd instalment from Grey's point of view. Was so excited when I heard this book was being released. Purchased straight away and have recently started reading. I loved the first books and managed to read all three in just under a week - I was on the labour ward and the talk of the hospital.
Such a beautiful story behind that red room! I always look forward to reading more but then get sad when the book is finished. In Christian's own words, and through his thoughts, reflections, and dreams, E L James offers a fresh perspective on the love story that has enthralled millions of readers around the world. Christian Grey exercises control in all things; his world is neat, disciplined, and utterly empty - until the day that Anastasia Steele falls into his office, in a tangle of shapely limbs and tumbling brown hair.
He tries to forget her, but instead is swept up in a storm of emotion he cannot comprehend and cannot resist. Unlike any woman he has known before, shy, unworldly Ana seems to see right through him - past the business prodigy and the penthouse lifestyle to Christian's cold, wounded heart.
